Code Of Conduct

For Students:

  • Students must carry their identity cards on the college premises
  • Students must be punctual and regular in their attendance
  • Students should attend all the examinations, tutorials and events organized by the college
  • Students should not use cell phones in class
  • Students should inform their concerned departments in case of a prolonged absence
  • Students should maintain cleanliness within the classrooms, libraries, laboratories, girls common room and the college campus
  • Students should maintain decorum throughout the college hours so that adjoining   classes and other activities of the college are not hampered
  • Students should treat college property with due care
  • Students should treat the members of the staff, both teaching and non- teaching and their fellow students with courtesy, both inside and outside the college
  • Students should maintain the respect of the institution both inside and outside it
  • Students should refrain themselves from using unfair means during examinations. Disciplinary Committee will take necessary action in case of malpractices
  • Students should refrain themselves from ragging. Anti- ragging committee will take necessary action
  • Students should follow the college website and notice board regularly
  • Students should take the permission of the head of the institution before circulating any printed or web material

For Staff:

  • Teachers should adhere to a responsible pattern of conduct and demeanour expected of them by the community
  • Teachers should manage their private affairs in a manner consistent with the dignity of the profession
  • Teachers should seek to make continuous professional growth through study and research
  • Teachers should express free and frank opinion by participating in professional meetings, seminars, conferences etc for the contribution of knowledge
  • Teachers should maintain active membership of professional organizations and strive to improve education and profession through these
  • Teachers should perform their duties in the form of teaching, taking tutorials, practicals and seminar work conscientiously  and dedicatedly
  • Teachers should co-operate and assist in carrying out functions relating to the educational responsibilities of the college and the university such as : assisting in appraising applications for admission, advising and counselling students as well as assisting in the conduct of college and university examinations, including supervision, invigilation and evaluation
  • Teachers should participate in extension, co-curricular and extra- curricular activities including community service
  • All staff members should follow the institutional code of conduct
  • All staff members should maintain the respect of the institution both inside and outside it
